It's been confirmed...Super Doubles next week @ HT

There is also a Kelloggs Catalina in effect currently (08/01-08/14) that will go nicely with Super Doubles. I recommend if you can get a raincheck for cereal, poptarts, and Morning star products this week, and use them next week it will sweeten this deal a whole lot more! So you will use the raincheck to get the store special, double coupons, and get a $10 off your next order coupon.

Buy any 10 Kelloggs, Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo and Morningstar farm products (3.8 ox or larger any flavor mix and match) in one shopping order and saved $10 on a future order with coupon.

For instance if you can get raincheck (RC) for Frosted Mini-Wheats and Morning Star products
$1.74 (FMWs RC price) x 6, and use 3 coupons from the insert ($1.00 off two) = $4.44
$3.29 (MS burgers RC price) x 4, and use 2 coupons from the insert ($1.00 off two) = $9.16
for a total of $13.60 and you will get $10 off your next order coupon printed out

or use 4 coupons from this coupon for the Morning star products to save a bit more and only spend $11.60 and get $10 off your next order coupon printed out (some are reporting that there are $1 coupons inside the boxes too if you wanna do this deal again)

Heck, you can even buy 10 boxes of Poptarts @ $1.09 each, spend $10.90 and get back $10 oyno coupon! Almost like getting them for FREE!!! If you have coupons for these, it will be a money maker:) Just remember to break up your flavors to adhere to the "no more than 3 like items" rule, if your store is a stickler for this.

Other items: Eggos, Nutrigrain bars (money maker if you have the 75¢ coupons), Special K bars

This one doesn't expire until September, so keep your eye out for good sales and coupons! When it goes on sale, stock up on the $30 amount and send in your rebate. Remember this is the retail amount, not how much you paid for it after coupons:)

Need a specialty food item, shop at a specialty store...duh

Don't worry, I too am guilty of picking up what I need at Harris Teeter on a whim without thinking that it may be more affordable at a specialty store. We generally think that the "novelty" of an item makes it more expensive at a specialty store. NOT THE CASE!

Over lunch, I generally discuss....yep....FOOD and what I'm gonna make for dinner that night. I was discussing how upset I was that "my" Harris Teeter did not have bean sprouts, and my friend Laura recommended that I go to the S-Mart Asian Supermarket in Cary. Now I have seen this store, but was a bit skeptical to go in and shop. Well, last night I went and I was like a kid in a candy store.

My stirfry was becoming very run-of-the-mill, so I wanted to add a few items to spruce it up. I went in with intentions of getting bean sprouts and baby bok choy, needless to say I left with a whole bag of items. I was floored at how much lower the prices are compared to the general market. For instance, Sriracha "rooster sauce" is $4.79 for 17 oz bottle at HT. At the S-Mart it was $1.88 for 28 oz!!! WHAT, how could I have not been shopping here all along?!?

My bag of goodies consisted of a HUGE bottle of sweet chili sauce ($1.99), sesame oil ($2.99), Snow peas ($1.37), 6 baby bok choy ($2.32), and almost 1 lb of bean sprouts (53¢) all for $9.38.

At HT, these would have cost me over $23. The breakdown...chili sauce ($3.29, for much smaller bottle), HT brand sesame oil ($3.29), snow peas ($3.99), baby bok choy ($1.87 each), and bean sprouts (at other HT stores are 99¢/lb).

Point of story...explore your local specialty food markets!

This week I scored mushrooms, zuccini and varietal fingerling potatoes all for $3. I used the veggies in stirfry, and am using the potatoes tonight to pair up with the prime rib from the deal during the holidays.***
